Aphrodisias was first
inhabited in the third millennium BC.
The warship of Aphrodisias,
universal goddess of love and mother fertility, began in the 7th
century BC. However, the city was not famous until Roman times, when
it was considered as a free state and developed into a religious,
literary and artistic centre. |
